Evening flights are returning to Peshawar after a spot of 5 years.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan ordered the resumption of night time flights and the service was inaugurated on Friday on the Bacha Khan Worldwide Airport.

Evening flights had been suspended after a terrorist assault on a PIA aircraft carrying 196 folks on the airport on June 23, 2014. Gunmen opened fireplace on the aircraft because it landed on the Bacha Khan Airport from Riyadh, killing a girl and injuring two flight stewards. The terrorists aimed on the gas tank, hoping to explode the plane, in addition to on the cockpit.

The police have now been stationed across the airport and within the watch tower to make sure nothing just like the 2014 assault occurs once more.

Earlier than this, no flights landed at or took off from the Bacha Khan Airport after sundown.
