One other bowl sport is about to launch in school soccer.
Beginning in 2020, the ACC and AAC will play in an unnamed bowl sport at Boston’s Fenway Park, according to watchstadium.com.
The Fenway Park bowl joins Los Angeles and Myrtle Seaside as new areas for extra bowls after the NCAA’s Soccer Oversight Committee agreed so as to add a most of three new bowl video games for 2020.
With these additions, 65 p.c of the 130 FBS school soccer groups shall be eligible for a bowl.
Two different MLB stadiums already host bowl video games – the Pinstripe Bowl is at Yankee Stadium and the Cheez-It Bowl is on the Diamondbacks’ Chase Discipline.
The ACC already has a workforce taking part within the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.
It is not the primary time Fenway has hosted a soccer sport in recent times. In 2015, Boston School performed Notre Dame within the park and three video games had been performed there in 2017.
