Brig Hamidi passes away at CMH Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD     –   Brig (R) Abdul Hamid, alias Brig Hamidi, handed away at CMH Rawalpindi on late Thursday evening.

Former Pakistan Sports activities Board (PSB) Director Normal Brig Hamidi, 93, was the one Olympian, who had performed in 4 Olympics for Pakistan hockey crew and was the captain of Pakistan hockey crew, which received gold in 1960 Rome Olympics. He began his Olympics journey from 1948 Olympics. His funeral will probably be held at his native metropolis Bannu at this time (Friday). Brig Hamidi remained Director Military Sports activities, Director Normal, Nationwide Sports activities Belief, PSB DG and Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary.

PHF President Brig (R) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar prayed Allah Almighty to grant Brig Hamidi highest place in Jannah and provides braveness to the household to bear this loss. PSB Director Normal Arif Ibrahim, IPC Secretary Akbar Durrani and full sports activities fraternity expressed shock over the dying of Brig Hamidi.
