Islamabad judicial Justice of the Peace on Sunday authorised bail of senior columnist and adviser to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif a day after he was despatched on 14-day judicial remand.
He was despatched to jail after being arrested for violating tenancy regulation and never informing the police that he had given his home on hire.
He was detained below Part 144 of the Prison Process Code for not informing the related police station that he had rented out his home. Below this regulation, all property house owners have to tell native police stations concerning the particulars of their tenants, reported the police.
Siddiqui was remanded into judicial custody for 14 days on Saturday.
