Pakistani sailors shine in 2nd CAS Int’l Open Crusing

LAHORE    –   Pakistani sailors excelled within the 2nd Chief of Air Workers (CAS) Worldwide Open Crusing Championship at PAF Yacht Membership, Karachi.

The championship included 4 crusing courses (laser commonplace, laser radial, optimist, RSX), out of which three crusing courses had been of crusing class and one was of wind browsing, mentioned a press launch issued right here by Directorate of Media Affairs of PAF.

Within the RSX class, gold and silver medals had been grabbed by Pakistan’s Raja Qasim Abbas and M Sajjad respectively, whereas Tunisia’s Mami Safouan claimed bronze. In laser commonplace, all medals had been clinched by Pakistani sailors – M Tanveer, Muzammil Hussain and Najeeb-Ullah.

In laser radial, Khairunneeta Mohd Afendy of Malaysia gained gold medal whereas Pakistan’s Hana Fatima Asad and Marium Asad Ali gained silver and bronze respectively. In optimist class, Grasp Panna Boonnak and Miss Thorfun Boonnak of Thailand grabbed gold and silver respectively whereas M Abdullah Akram of Pakistan claimed bronze.

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Workers Pakistan Air Power, was the chief visitor on the concluding ceremony and gave away medals to the winners and runner ups.

The championship was performed from 23- 27 July, wherein 57 sailors and officers from seventeen nations participated.
