Texas man charged with supporting Islamic State group

DALLAS (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a North Texas man who was captured by army forces in Syrian has been charged with supporting the Islamic State.

In July, a grand jury indicted 23-year-old Omer Kuzu on one depend of conspiring to assist a international terrorist group. The U.S. Legal professional’s Workplace for the Northern District of Texas says Kuzu made a primary look in a Dallas court docket Thursday and pleaded not responsible.

A felony criticism states Kuzu and his brother left their house within the Dallas suburb of Plano in 2014, traveled to Turkey and had been then smuggled throughout the Syrian border to hitch IS.
