Riot police have clashed with suspected protesters in Hong Kong’s metro system after hundreds marched in defiance of a ban.

Protesters lit fires, threw petrol bombs and attacked the parliament constructing.

In response, police used tear fuel, rubber bullets and water cannon to disperse crowds, and fired dwell warning pictures as they tried to clear the streets.

Hong Kong has now seen 13 successive weeks of demonstrations.
