ISLAMABAD: The World Financial institution will lengthen $ 700 million further financing for transmission line for Dasu Hydropower Challenge, ARY Information reported on Monday.
The World Financial institution Nation Director, Patchamuthu Illangovan has conveyed the choice in a letter to the Secretary Ministry of Water Assets, sources stated.
“ The World Financial institution plans to appraise the challenge from December 12, 2019 and to barter the matter within the final week of January 2020.”
The challenge’s PC-1 has already been accredited.
The World Financial institution appreciated the stakeholders for extending help to get approval for the revised land charges and compensation for the Dasu land acquisition, which was accredited by the federal cupboard on October 29, 2019.
Dasu Hydropower Challenge is run of the river challenge with complete put in capability of 4,320MW, comprising two phases of 2160 MW every. The challenge is being constructed on the Indus River, 74 kilometres downstream of Bhasha Dam web site in district Kohistan in KP.
The general price of Dasu Hydropower Challenge (stage-1) has reached to Rs 510.980 billion.
