‘Emotional scenes’ at Doha jail as Shehryar Afridi meets Pakistani inmates

DOHA: Minister of State for SAFRON and Narcotics Management Shehryar Afridi visited Doha Central Jail the place he interacted with Pakistani inmates.

Sharing a video that captures components of his go to to the jail on his Twitter deal with, he wrote: “Deeply touched & indebted to Prime Minister of Qatar for permitting me to go to Doha Central Jail & break bread with Pakistani inmates.”

Shehryar Afridi was briefed by Director-Common Public Safety Main Common Saad Bin Jassim Al Khulaifi on the services being offered to Pakistani inmates.

Later, he visited the cells of Pakistani inmates who knowledgeable him about their issues.

The minister assured them of taking on their issues with Qatari authorities to hunt their options.

Shehryar Afridi stated the incumbent authorities will go to any extent to assist resolve points confronted by abroad Pakistanis and guarantee restoration of the sanctity of inexperienced passport.
