ISLAMABAD: At least one person was killed and four were injured when two cars crashed here on Faisal Avenue Chowk in the federal capital on Sunday, police said.
According to police, one of the cars involved in the accident belongs to the United States Embassy in Islamabad. The driver of the United States Embassy car was arrested and a first information report (FIR) was registered at the Margalla police station.
An Islamabad police spokesman said the driver is a Pakistani citizen. Measures will be taken against the suspect in accordance with the law, they added.
Although the deceased was not identified at the time of the report, they added, the body was taken to a nearby hospital.
According to the station officer (SHO), Qaiser Gillani, the affected family resides in Rawalpindi.
