LONDON: Former sick Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled for hospitalization and cardiac intervention in the next few days, his personal doctor, Dr. Adnan, said Monday.
In a tweet, he said: “Cardiac PET scan with rubidium documented severe ischemic heart disease.”
“Your cardiovascular team has planned cardiac catheterization to treat important complex blockages of the coronary arteries.”

According to new medical reports by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who appeared at the Lahore High Court, “Nawaz Sharif’s condition had not yet stabilized. It requires surgery, which could not be carried out until his health status improved.”
The reports presented in the superior court include several medical tests carried out on December 19, December 23 and January 13.
These reports also recommend that Nawaz Sharif remain in the United Kingdom until full recovery from health problems.
The leader of PML-N suffers from hypertension, sugar and kidney diseases. Doctors are taking steps to maintain their blood platelet count, according to the report.
The reports had been prepared by cardiac surgeon consultant David Lawrence.
