Speaker of the Baluchistan Assembly presents motion of privilege against members of the party itself
QUETTA: Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, president of the Baluchistan Assembly, on Friday presented a motion of privilege against members of his own party, including chief minister Jam Kamal Khan, provincial finance minister Zahoor Buledi and senator Sarfaraz Bugti.
He stated in the motion that the prime minister had made painful and unnecessary comments about him.
He said that almost all members of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) were not happy with the government, and called for the formation of another consisting of all parties.
“Tabdeeli [change] he will come in Balochistan, “he said.” A government must be formed that understands all political parties in the province. “
Bizenjo said he would try to make a change in the internal party. “The match is not over,” he said, and said that the name of the prime minister candidate will end at the appropriate time.
“Prime Minister Jam Kamal is a good man but he can’t make decisions,” he said. “This is the worst government in the history of Balochistan.”
He said the prime minister was a member of the party, not its owner. “How can someone who cannot lead a political party manage the affairs of a province?” He asked.
The BAP emerged as the largest party in Balochistan after the 2018 general elections, securing 15 seats from the 51 general electoral districts where the polls were contested.
It also emerged as a surprise factor in last year’s FATA elections, where a number of independent candidates from tribal areas joined the party after winning the elections.
