LAHORE: A Dolphin Force personnel died after a kite rope cut his throat in Kahina, Lahore, ARY News reported Saturday, citing rescue sources.
According to rescue sources, the appointed Dolphin Fore staff, Safdar was on his way home after completing his duty, when a kite rope fell on him and cut his throat.
Sharp strings are used to cut the strings of rivals’ kites, but often end up cutting people’s throat.
It should be noted that there is a ban on flying kites in Punjab and several have been reserved throughout the province for violations.

Earlier, on October 20, 2019, a young man died after his throat was cut with a glass-covered kite rope within the boundaries of the Lahore police station in Sanda.
According to police, Usman Khalid, 24, was riding a bicycle when a kite rope fell on him and cut his throat.
Given the incident, DIG Lahore Ishfaq Khan operations had requested a report from the SP of the city of Iqbal Muhammad Ajmal in this regard.
