ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took a clear stance on the issue of Kashmir occupied by India (IoK), ARY News reported Friday.
Speaking exclusively with ARY News after the speech of the Turkish president before the joint parliament, Erdogan has given a strong gesture to the international community on the subject of IoK. Qureshi congratulated the cashmere for the solidarity shown by Turkish President Erdogan.
In response to a query, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that an important meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is just around the corner and that Turkey’s support for Pakistan on the issue is a good omen.
The FM said that India created an anti-Pakistan lobby in the FATF, but China, Malaysia, Turkey, the United States and the EU have appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in line with the FATF guidelines.

He said that the Turkish president wishes to transform the historical relations of both countries into economic cooperation and that the talks are ongoing in this context.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said important memoranda of understanding will be signed between the two countries in various fields and added that the visiting president will also attend the Pak-Turk business forum meeting today.
He warmly welcomed Prime Minister Imran Khan on his recent visit to Malaysia, rejected the impression of any difference between the two countries.
