ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Health has decided to seal the building of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Commission (PMDC), the district authorities sent a summary regarding the action on Thursday, ARY News reported.
The summary orders the district authority to seal the premises under the jurisdiction of the ministry until further notice.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council was dissolved and its replacement ordered by the Pakistan Medical Commission, the federal government announced in October.
President Arif Alvi signed the 2019 Pakistan Medical Commission Ordinance that denotes that a new era will begin with respect to the regulation and control of the medical profession, a press release said.
On February 11, the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) declared the dissolution of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) by presidential ordinance as “null and void,” ARY News reported.

The judge of the Supreme Court of Islamabad, Judge Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani, announced the verdict reserved in the case of dissolution of the PMDC.
The higher court also declared the establishment of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) as illegal and illegal.
