Metro police looking for driver of a stolen truck abandoned in the pond news

NASHVILLE (WSMV) – Subway agents are searching the Stewarts Ferry Parkway area on Friday morning after a stolen truck has been dumped in a pond.

Police tell us they were looking for the stolen truck reported in the area when they received the call. They say someone drove the stolen truck through the grass of the Stewarts ferry apartment houses and jumped out before it crashed.

News4 spoke to a woman who was woken up by a knock on the police door.

“I was deeply asleep. I wear hearing aids, which weren’t there. The agent took some time to wake me up. When I open the door and I see a police officer asking for information on mine car I was a little worried, “said neighbor Jacqueline Bradley.” He just wanted me to move it so he could put the tow truck close enough to get it out. “

Officials are now looking for the driver involved.
