In line with the current government’s advice to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Harry Potter and Cursed Child performances at the Melbourne Princess Theater will be suspended for the next five weeks.

Performances from Wednesday 12 August to Sunday 13 September 2020 will be postponed and rescheduled. Ticket holders will automatically be moved to an alternate date from Wednesday 17 February 2021 onwards, with the same seat allocation as they ordered before.

Affected customers will be contacted directly with their rescheduling date details. Provisions will be made for affected international and international customers by continuing travel restrictions as well as those who cannot attend their rescheduled performance.

The producers carefully follow the guidelines of the Federal Government and Victoria Australia, and will continue to assess the rolling performance suspension based on the most up-to-date advice.

The latest information on ticket and show policies is updated regularly on the official social media channels and on its website,www.harrypottertheplay.com/au/.

Australian Executive Producer Michael Cassel said: “We continue to be humble and heartened with the continued support of our audience when we postponed the show because of COVID-19. I know I speak for all the cast, crew and creative team when I say that we are impatient to return to our home at the Princess Theater. We continue to work with all stakeholders in navigating the path for our return and hope to share the magic of Harry Potter and Cursed Child as soon as we are able. “
