In December 2020, a viral meme was shared on social media claiming that a story about US President-elect Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, made “front page news” in Australia. The title of the article reads: “‘Biden’ Child Pornography Surprise”.
However, the meme’s claim is false. The story appeared in tabloid newspapers. Furthermore, it did not appear on the front page of the issue, and the cover did not appear seductive or even mention the story in any way:
Also, any scandal surrounding Hunter Biden is not new to December 2020. The story appear in the 22 October 2020 issue of the conservative Australian tabloid The Daily Telegraph. He claims that Hunter Biden has been “the one being hunted amid claims of underage photos on his laptop”:
The ongoing STORY of alleged corruption and foreign influence trading by the Biden family got scarier Wednesday (AEDT).
Speaking to conservative American news outlet Newsmax, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani said he had handed over a hard drive that was reportedly left by Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, at a Delaware workshop to state police because of its contents. which he said included inappropriate text messages and pictures of minors.
Mr Giuliani said there were “many” images of what he described as being underage girls. He also said there were text messages from Hunter to Joe saying he had been accused of speaking naked to a 14 year old girl on FaceTime.
The laptop has rocked the presidential election as it appears to provide direct evidence of a cash-for-influence scheme involving Hunter and countries like Ukraine and China.
We were before reported rumors surrounding Biden’s son, who emerged before the 2020 US presidential election, also emerged Associated Press, NBC News, and Fox News, among other news media outlets. We also refuted a false claim that says a photo of Malia Obama’s credit card found on Hunter Biden’s laptop, complete with lines of cocaine.
