Of those, 536 or 97 percent have recovered. There are four confirmed cases in Perth metropolitan hospitals, including one in the intensive care unit.
McGowan said WA would be the first state to move to the limit of 20 people who gathered a few weeks before the other states.
“The WA road map has been developed together with the framework set by the national cabinet and is based on the best health advice for WA,” he said.
“Cafes and restaurants will be reopened to eat in service, limited to 20 customers and with 4sqm rules applied.”
Up to 30 people will be allowed to attend weddings and funerals if held outside.
Places of worship, community facilities and libraries will also be reopened.
Phase three will take place a month after May 18 and will include further relaxation of rules for cafes and restaurants, travel restrictions being canceled and contacting the sports community that can be done.
Beauty services will also be continued during the third phase.
