Autistic Student Dies After Being Restrained Face-Down By Staff At California School For Close To An Hour

An autistic pupil died after he stopped respiration whereas being restrained by workers, an incident now underneath investigation by native police.

The incident occurred on the Guiding Palms Faculty in El Dorado Hills, California, the place authorities say the 13-year-old was put in what was generally known as a “inclined restraint” for near an hour. Because the Sacramento Bee reported, the boy stopped respiration in some unspecified time in the future whereas he was restrained.

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Workplace stated the scholar, who was severely autistic, grew to become violent and needed to be positioned within the restraint after attacking workers members. After the boy grew to become unresponsive, faculty officers administered CPR and referred to as 911. He was taken to a hospital, the place he was declared useless.
