Prime Minister Imran Khan urged Pakistanis on Thursday to avail the recently-introduced tax amnesty scheme and declare their property.
In a recorded message, the prime minister stated that the federal government has acquired all details about properties and financial institution accounts overseas.
“That is why we launched a scheme for you,” he stated. “Declare your property… it is the simplest scheme.”
“It is your probability to declare your benami properties and financial institution accounts,” PM Khan added, saying the deadline is June 30.
On Might 14, the federal government had launched the tax amnesty scheme. “This scheme’s fundamental aim is to not earn income,” Finance Advisor Hafeez Shaikh had stated. “It’s for the documentation of the economic system.”
PM Khan stated that just one per cent of 220 million Pakistanis pay taxes.

He assured the people who their tax cash shall be spent on them and the nation.
