ROANOKE, Va. – Desiree Satler and Great BBQ food truck appeared about a month ago, with a cheerful personality and new tastes. He does everything from the recipe to the decoration on the outside of the truck.
“I have to put all my heart into this, so it works because I endured this.”
Fortunately, success was fast. Satler’s work on social media has allowed the Roanokers to become familiar with some unusual tastes. This includes the likes of Genya Kalinina, who says the food is, “Super-flavorful, and I love trying new foods – new international foods. And I love supporting local businesses, so this is the place to be. “
Satler says it provides the best of both worlds.
“It’s like health food, but quite flavorful because all the flavors come from fresh things.”
Satler is from Brazil where, he says, it’s not just about spices. Fresh ingredients are more important to their recipe, and you’ll find it in the jerk chicken case.
Seasoned and grilled to perfection, you can get this and any kind of meat on its $ 10 plate.
“On the plate there are rice, green beans, salad, farofa which are cassava flour with onions and garlic. That is very common in Brazil. Everyone eats farofa. And also a vinaigrette and you choose the meat you want. “
One of the unique meats is kafta, which is like a burger with fresh herbs and garlic. That’s another thing. Vampire, be careful. “The more garlic the better,” says Satler.
“Sandwich on garlic bread with salad and vinaigrette, the meat of your choice and plantains.”
A few minutes later, the world of taste left this little truck. Validation maintains Satler and Great BBQ go.
He tells us, “When you see your work going well, you see that I may be doing something right for the first time in my life.”
The Great BBQ is located at 124 Elm Avenue. Make sure to give it a follow on Instagram to learn more about BBQ and Brazilian culture.
