It rains 30 to 60 millimeters before Tuesday morning.

The rainy period is expected to begin in southwestern Ontario near midday today and then spread northeast, reaching the Greater Toronto Region and the Gulf of Georgia region earlier this evening. Rain is expected to ease early Tuesday morning, although some uncertainty remains when the rain will end.

It is estimated that the total amount of rainfall ranges from 30 to 60 millimeters, with a higher amount locally in thunderstorms.

The Canadian environment will continue to monitor the situation closely. Rainfall warnings may be issued if additional rainfall is likely.
