Four, including a woman shot dead in an alleged police meeting

LAKKI MARWAT: Four alleged fugitives, including a woman, were shot dead in an alleged meeting with police in the Lakki Marwat area in Pahar Khel Paka, ARY News reported Tuesday.

According to police, the suspects were killed in an exchange of gunfire with the police. Two policemen were also injured on the spot.

One of the suspects, Inam, was declared a fugitive by the provincial government and was searched by police in 15 cases. The suspect was also involved in the shooting incident on coach Marwat, who killed 14 people.

In December 2019, a police officer suffered gunshot wounds after police tried to intercept suspects in Karachi.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Tanveer Alam had said the incident occurred in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, within the powers of the Aziz Bhatti police station.

The police squad of two members of the police attempted to intercept a suspicious vehicle, he said and added that the suspects opened fire on them, injuring a policeman.

The other policemen on the motorcycle, however, remained safe while the suspects fled the scene.
