LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Friday asked the opposition to play its role in the country’s development, ARY News reported.
Speaking to journalists in Lahore, he said that the reality of opposition parties, including Fazlur Rehman, was very exposed during the sit-ins. “The opposition must play its due role for Pakistan’s prosperity.”
By blaming previous governments for sinking the country under the burden of a huge debt, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said the bad economy is recovering under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The country is moving in the right direction, he said, adding that foreign direct investment experienced a 66 percent increase in the last seven months.
The confidence of the world has been restored in Pakistan’s economic and public order policies.

The minister said the government hopes to hear good news from the forum of the Financial Action Forum (FATF).
Earlier this week, Chohan had said that the world now applauds Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability.
“The policies of Prime Minister Imran Khan are attracting international leaders to Pakistan,” he said and added that recent visits by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, Turkish President Recept Tayyip Erdogan, and the UN chief show the importance of Pakistan.
