KARACHI: Metropolis’s native courtroom on Friday ordered police to current challan into the killing of anchorperson Mureed Abbas on August 9, ARY Information reported.
Investigation Officer (IO) of the case on the outset of the case’s listening to within the courtroom in the present day, requested the courtroom to grant every week to file challan within the case.
“Challan has been despatched to the upper officers for the approval”, he continued.
The courtroom accepting police’s plea granted every week time to police for submitting challan within the case and adjourned the listening to till August 9.
On July 9, a suspect, Atif gunned down Mureed Abbasi, 34 and Khizar Hayat, 45 over a financial dispute in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) after which tried suicide.
He was admitted to a non-public hospital in Clifton and is now mentioned to be recuperating from his bullet accidents.
On Thursday, Further Inspector Normal (AIG) Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon had mentioned that Mureed Abbas’ household is receiving threats.
Talking to media, he had mentioned directives have been issued for provision of safety to the household of the deceased anchorperson.
The Karachi police chief mentioned the police acquired a criticism about Mureed Abbas’ household receiving threats, after which instructions have been issued for provision of essential safety to the household.
