Cubs nearer Brandon Morrow is prone to miss much more time.

Based on ESPN, Morrow underwent minor surgical procedure on his elbow final month and will should miss some video games to start out the 2019 season.

“This was a cleanup of some cartilage, completed arthroscopically,” Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein mentioned Thursday.

He added: “Doing properly. Progressing with out limitations.”

Morrow was restricted to 35 video games in 2018 as he handled again and arm accidents.

He tallied 22 saves with a 1.47 ERA.

Based on ESPN, the Cubs could now be extra energetic within the free-agent marketplace for relievers.

The report says Chicago has proven some curiosity in Yankees reliever Zach Britton, however nothing is imminent.
