Eid-ul-Fitr moon likely to be sighted on June 04: Met Office

KARACHI, Could 21 (INP): The Met Workplace has forecast sighting of Shawwal moon on June 04 and Eid ul Fitr on Wednesday June 05, ARY Information reported on Tuesday.

“There’s sturdy chance of sighting of the Shawwal moon on Ramazan 29 (June 04),” Pakistan Meteorological Division (PMD) stated in an announcement.

The Shawwal moon will born on June 03 (Ramazan 28) at 3:02 PM and will likely be 4 hours and 16 minutes outdated on the sundown of the 28th Ramazan.

The moon will likely be 28 hours and 16 minutes outdated on June 04 (29th of Ramazan) and might be sighted for at the very least one hour after sundown as it will likely be 12 levels above, the climate division stated.

The Shawwal moon will probably be sighted throughout the nation on June 04 night, the met workplace predicted.

It’s pertinent to say right here that Federal Minister of Science and Know-how Fawad Chaudhry has introduced right now that the lunar calendar ready by a committee of specialists has been forwarded to the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII).

He stated that the Shawwal moon will more likely to be sighted on June 04 and Eid-ul-Fitr on June 05, in line with the lunar calendar.

The calendar will likely be despatched to the federal cupboard after endorsement of the CII.

The minister stated that the specialists from the Ministry of Science, SPARCO and Pakistan Meteorological Division have ready the lunar calendar.
