OSHKOSH, Wis. – Country USA and Rock USA 2020 music festivals are the latest summer event canceled due to COVID-19 fears.
According to a post from the USA Country Facebook page, the committee followed the recommendations from the Winnebago County Health Department, which continued to advise against holding large meetings.
“The security of our entire festival and local community is first,” the post said.
This year’s event on Oshkosh will mark the 25th anniversary of Country USA and the 10th anniversary of Rock USA.
The post said there were plans to reschedule the two festivals for June and July 2021, but there were no official dates until now.
“Like all of you, the coronavirus outbreak has hit us hard, and we are doing everything we can to get through it,” the post said.
Those who buy tickets for the 2020 event will be given credit. Tickets, campsites and VIP seats will still be valid for the festival next year.
