TV host Maya JAMA told how the murder gun her boyfriend pushed her to future success in show business.
Speaking Cosmopolitan UKMaya showed that she was only 16 when Rico Gordon, 21, was caught in the crossfire between two gangs.
Former Radio 1 DJ, 25, said that to cope with the tragedy of his death in 2011 had hardened her and made her more determined to succeed.
She said, “I went through a lot. With my guy by, he gave me a fearless approach. I felt that life is really short.
“At 16 you think the world is a fairy tale and she took me out of this. It has given me even more determination. If not going through these difficulties, all my perception of life would be different.

Her four-year relationship with soot star Stormzy, 27, last year ended and Maya is worried at the thought of Dating again.
