During a recent appearance on Zach Braff and Donald Faison podcast “Fake Doctors, Real Friends,” Locklear, 58, spoke about filming scenes with Naughton, 74, in which he received more intimate than expected.
The actress explained that most of her scenes were cut from the film, but that did it in, Noton “was to hold his hand and touch my chest.”
“He actually touched more … gross” Locklear said in Six Pages. “So I said, ‘ can you just erase my name from the credits, because now I have no lines?’ So it was creditless”.
She also noted that while the script doesn’t call for an actor to do so, he “actually the outlines of my nipple with a finger”.
“I was like [gasps] and I’m so glad they followed his hand down [with the camera] because my face, my mouth fell and I can’t believe it and not to do it again. And I went,” she recalls.
Noton watched the interview and denying the claim Locklear that he went beyond the script stage.
“James recalls shooting the scene as written in the script,” a REP for Noton said Yahoo Entertainment. “He fully understands that Heather would have felt uncomfortable shooting this scene as he felt uncomfortable as well.”
In addition, the REP shared a page from the script, talking about character Noton ” – a thinly using your fingers to feel the breast of Mary.”
Now, the former “Melrose Place“star clarified his comments, stating that this awkward moment was not to blame for Noton.
Taking to Instagram a screenshot of a header describing the incident, Locklear came to the defense of his former partner.
“Oh, No, I don’t mean James Naughton has done nothing wrong”, she said. “The script called for him to touch my breast. I was surprised that he circled my nipple. We had not discussed the scene prior to filming”.
She concluded: “to be clear, I’ve never been upset with James, just surprised. Love you, James.”
In a statement Six Pages, Noton the representative responded with a nice message.
“From James: ‘love you, Heather.’”
