Donald Trump Jr. says he is watching Netflix documentary “Tiger King” is only in two parts and jokes that he can lobby for his father’s forgiveness Joe Exotic just to watch the reaction of the mainstream media.
“This is extraordinary,” Trump Jr. said about the seven-part documentary series that has captivated America since its release in March.
The eldest son of the president was asked about Joseph Maldonado-Passage – better known a Joe Exotic – on Monday during a performance on the “Jim Norton and Sam Roberts” radio show from SiriusXM.
“He asked for the president’s forgiveness,” Roberts said.
Trump Jr. ask, “I’ve heard that, is that true? You really want it to be true, don’t you?”
Norton and Roberts say that “sounds right” before telling Trump Jr. how he can make it happen.
Roberts told him directly, “I feel you, Don, Jr., can come in, have a meeting with your father and go, ‘Look, I know we all deal with corona and there are many things happening now, but at the same time, maybe presidential forgiveness for poor Joe Exotic over there? “
“Maybe not now, but in general I can do this just for memes,” Trump Jr. said “And only to openly witness the media’s reaction to this. It would be amazing to see that. “
Maldonado-Passage was found guilty in 2019 for paying a $ 3,000 hitman to kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who is also a big cat lover and operates the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida (The hitman for hire does not take action. )
Trump Jr. then became a little more serious and said he wasn’t even sure what was guilty of Joe Exotic.
“Now, I don’t even know exactly what was alleged to him … I watched the show, but it felt, I didn’t know exactly what was guilty or innocent. It seemed like he was completely innocent of anything. But when they said, ‘We going to get rid of this person for 30 years, “I say it seems rather aggressive,” Trump Jr. said
Trump later explained that several prisons released criminals over fears of a coronavirus and admitted that “Tiger King” made Baskin possibly kill his first husband. But the president’s son got another takeaway from the documentary.
“Do you know what the real tragedy of the whole show is? None of us knows that you can have a pet tiger for two thousand dollars, “Trump Jr. said.
The jury also sentenced Maldonado-Passage for killing five tigers to make room for more big cats in the zoo.
“Tiger King” can now be streamed on Netflix.
