HOUSTON – Joel Osteen has big Easter plans.
Father Lakewood Church invited the star-studded lineup for its virtual Sunday service. Singers / songwriters Mariah Carey and Kanye West will perform, while actor / comedian Tyler Perry will offer uplifting words as the world struggles through the coronavirus pandemic.
The three guests will come a long way to record Friday which will then air during church services on Sunday. This service will be broadcast on the Lakewood website.
Carey will also pay special respect to first responders, a church spokesman confirmed. TMZ, who first told his story, reported Carey would sing “Hero.”
Houston Art Police Chief Acevedo and fire chief Sam Pena will attend the service.
West visits Lakewood Church again In November, where he went onstage with Osteen and talked about his spiritual transformation.
In a 20-minute message, the West talks about how he is now in full service to God.
“All the arrogance and confidence and arrogance you have seen I used before, God now uses for him,” West said in November’s service.
He then led the church in prayer at the end of his message.
