One Direction fans ask for a reunion as the group approaches its 10th birthday | Instant News


One Direction fans from all over the world have asked boy bands to reform, during Capital’s online alternative to its Summertime Ball.

In a video, fans from the Netherlands, Australia, Brazil, the US, India, China, Israel and the UK danced together to the 2013 Group’s best hit song.

The boy band was absent in 2016, a few months after Zayn Malik left the group, and all members pursued a solo project.

Entertaining The Best of Capital’s Summertime Ball, Roman’s Roman Kemp told viewers: “Throughout this week at Capital, we have asked you to film yourself partying along the track to help prove to the youth how much we want a 10th birthday it’s a reunion.

“Safe to say, you answer. Look at this.”

Liam Payne said the group was all connected, as they prepared to mark a decade since they were formed in The X Factor in 2010.

The annual Summer Ball, which usually takes place at Wembley Stadium in London, was canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the station broadcasts highlights from the past 11 years, including Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and Camila Cabello.

This event features footage of One Direction opening the ball in 2015 with What Makes You Beautiful and Best Song Ever.

The program was also hosted directly by Sian Welby and Sonny Jay, and the Capital Hill Show on Jimmy Hill.
