The singer and chairman of the Irama Consortium (Irama), Ayob Abd Majid, recently collaborated to distribute contributions to needy communities around here.
“The efforts pioneered by Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, also involved Datuk Nash, Datuk Malek Ridzuan and Datuk Sri Paul, and myself.”
“We each supply aid to various regions and contribute using money from our own pockets. Some also contribute anonymously,” he said.
Hattan added that the charity project has been going on since the beginning of MCO with the intention to help everyone including artists in need.
“Aid is given to all people regardless of race or religion. What is important is that they are happy to receive contributions distributed while supplies last,” he said.
Hattan had also traveled back to his hometown in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan to meet his mother and to deliver the much needed supplies.
“My four-wheel drive vehicle is filled with all kinds of goods, such as rice, sugar, flour and milk, to give to people in need in my village.”
“I have felt many different emotions from sadness to the joy of seeing them receive goods and a little money. This is only a sincere contribution I can offer,” he said.
