Epic Game postponing the launch of Season 3 which is very popular Fortnite battle royale game, which has more than 350 million registered players, because of protests related to the murder of a black man by a white police officer.
In some cases, Epic Games was delayed a little later, following other announcements from Electronic Arts and Sony. On the other hand, this is a signal that the unrest in the US related to the Black Lives Matter and the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis impacted more than nine days of protests. More and more companies are asking for attention to this problem and looking for ways to do it permanently resolve race problems in America.
Do we still have a long way to go? Yes, judging by the comments that gamers leave a tweet for each of these announcements.
Meanwhile, the Call of Duty League, which is a global esports league for popular video games, said it would reschedule the Minnesota Røkkr Home Series Call of Duty this weekend until 12 to 14 June.
Activision said that the Call of Duty League family plans to pay tribute to Floyd (a black man who suffocated in the video by a white Minneapolis police officer, sparking more than a week of riots) and dedicated the Home Series to supporting the struggle for social justice and rights – the rights of black and minority communities, as well as organizations that help rebuild efforts, both in Minneapolis and nationally.
And Infinity Ward, creator of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, said in a tweet that it invested more resources to ban racist players in its game. That already banned thousands of players a day.

This is what Epic Games said.
Hi Fortnite community,
The recent events are a heavy reminder of the ongoing injustice in society, from the rejection of human rights to the blatant and subtle impact of racism on people of color. We are very aware of the pain experienced by our friends, family, team members, players, and community.
We believe in equality and fairness, diversity and inclusion, and that these fundamentals are above politics.
The team is eager to advance Fortnite, but we need to balance the launch of Season 3 with the time for the team to focus on themselves, their families and their communities.
The Device’s live event will be postponed until Monday, June 15, and the launch of Season 3 is delayed until Wednesday, June 17. We know this delay is due to another mistake, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
