Saints offers the opportunity for season ticket holders to opt out of the 2020 game | Instant News

The club says any fan who opts out will not lose privileges for 2021 and will receive credit for the season or refund.

NEW ORLEAN – In an offseason where goalposts continue to be moved for clubs, fans, players, and coaches, the Saints offer their fans the chance to opt out of the 2020 season tickets.

This offer will allow the money paid to be applied to 2021 tickets or given as a refund.

The team also said that season ticket holders who chose not to participate in 2020 will retain their season ticket options for 2021.

This happens when the league and the team struggle to find out how to hold the season. Already, more than a month after announcing the preseason schedule, the league has chosen to cut the preseason from four matches into two.

“Although we remain fully confident that the game will be played, we are preparing to start the NFL season with reduced capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said a statement issued by the club Friday.

The team said that the number of fans allowed to play will depend on several factors, including the state and city phase at the time, the CDC and national guidelines, physical distance protocol.

Already several thousand seats closest to the field will be covered up and fans will not be allowed to access it for the safety of players, coaches, referees, and other personnel assigned to the field.
