Want to watch New York Islanders in the postseason, here is the place to watch.
We are a few days away from New York Islander hit the ice again for the first time since March 10. With the 2019-20 season incomplete and with matches held in Toronto and Edmonton it was not the perfect solution to restart hockey season, but it was the best we got.
And it all began on July 29 when the Islands faced the New York Rangers in an exhibition match before the start of their five qualifying round series against the Florida Panthers.
But fans are still not sure where they can watch the match. Hope this helps.
When and What Time?
With hockey being played all day now, puck drop won’t always be primetime like in the regular season. The match starts at noon and no later than 8 pm in Toronto.
Here is the Islanders schedule so far:
July 29 @ 8 nights: Islanders vs Rangers (Exhibition)
August 1 @ 4 pm: Islanders vs Panthers (Game 1)
August 4 @ noon: Islanders vs Panthers (Game 2)
August 5 @ noon: Panthers vs Islanders (Game 3)
7 August @ TBD: Panthers vs Islanders (Game 4) *
August 8 @ TBD: Islanders vs Panthers (Game 5) *
Where can I watch?
Here is difficult. Navigating the TV contract and who brings the game while trying to navigate the restrictions of an unpopular illegal extinction makes things frustrating enough to be done. Once again, hopefully this helps.
All Isles games will be available on NBCSN nationally. They will faint at the local market. Local operators, such as MSG, will broadcast games on the local market.
This is where the match will take place from the exhibition match against Rangers to the qualifying round against the Panthers:
Exhibition: NBCSN, TVAS, MSG, MSG + (Not available on NHL.tv or NHL Network)
Game 1: NBCSN, MSG +, NHL.TV, SN1, TVAS, FS-F
Game 2: NBCSN, MSG +, NHL.TV, SN, TVAS, MSG +, FS-F
Game 3: NBCSN, MSG +, NHL.TV, SN, TVAS, FS-F
Games 4 and 5 are TBD as far as who will take them. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a copy of what we saw from games 1 to 3.
