The Pac-12 have established the conference’s final soccer crossover: a title game, four Saturday matches and one game played at a time and date to be determined.
Naturally, the league is holding its breath that it could all come to fruition after just four of the six games played last weekend due to pandemic disruption.
On Friday, the University of Washington Huskies (3-1) will travel to Southern California to face USC (5-0) at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at 5pm, with FOX showing the game. The Huskies, of course, didn’t play last weekend in Oregon for viral reasons.
The first of Saturday’s four fixtures will involve Washington State (1-2) playing in Utah (2-2) in Salt Lake City at 10:30 am PT. in FS1 broadcast. The Cougars were also unable to play last weekend at home to Cal due to positive testing.
Next on Saturday is Stanford (3-2) at UCLA (3-3) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, at 5pm on ESPN2. The Bruins and Oregon State are the only conference teams capable of playing the six games so far scheduled.
The outing will overlap with Oregon (3-2) playing Colorado (4-1) in Boulder, Colorado, at 6pm on FS1.
At 7:30 pm on Saturday, Arizona State (1-2) travels to Corvallis, Oregon, to face Oregon State (2-4) on ESPN.
That means the encounter of Arizona (0-5) and California (1-3) in Week 7 matches to be decided. Of course, the Wildcats lost 70-7 to ASU which saw them lose their coach, Kevin Sumlin, who was sacked Saturday. They may not want to play anymore.
