The Denver Broncos only managed to break the 7-9 record in the 2019 regular season, but that didn’t come close to telling the whole story. Opening this year with Joe Flacco as their initial QB, they have set a 2-6 record. Then Brandon Allen took over and they went 1-2. Eventually rookie Drew Lock was at the bottom of the middle, and they closed the year by winning four of their last five matches.

Despite its strong finish with Lock, the chances of early 2020 remain FanDuel Sportsbook seems to be very low on Broncos. They are seeded in 11 of their 16 matches.

Right off the bat it looks like they have too few favorites in the game, as over / under for them 2020 NFL regular season the total win is 7.5 – a mark maybe it’s too low.

Not just because the Broncos looked good with Lock at last year’s quarterback, too. They have done a lot of work to increase the violations around the young man, recruiting Melvin Gordon and arranging the two Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler in the first two rounds.

Their defense is solid too, completing 2019 ranked 13th in the defensive DVOA Football Outsiders metric. With an average of one year of offense, this defense can take them to a playoff fight.

However, Denver is currently favored in only one of AFC West’s six matches (at home against the Los Angeles Chargers), and the only match for the entire season where the Broncos are favored by at least one field goal at home against the Miami Dolphins (-5.5) . On the other side of the coin, they are seeded by three or more points in six different matches, including three in the division.

Unless you use Drew Lock to take a significant step back, although supporting casts were strengthened in 2020, the Broncos who are favorites in only five matches appear to be underestimated.
