NFL 2020 release schedule: Prediction scores for all 16 Patriots games | Instant News

NFL 2020 schedule has been released, and we now know the dates and times of the 16 regular matches for the New England Patriots season.

The Patriots have the toughest schedule in the league based on their 2019 win percentage, and making matters worse for New England is its experience at quarterback. They are expected to move from a 20-year veteran and six-time Super Bowl champion at Tom Brady to a second-year midfielder at Jarrett Stidham. Luckily for the Pats, they still have a strong defense and the best head coach in league history.

Here are the match-per-match score predictions for the 16 regular games for the Patriots season in 2020 (all the time East).

Week 1

Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
Date
: Sunday, September 13
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Patriot 31-21

The Patriots will get the chance to avenge the most disappointing defeat of the 2019 season to start the 2020 campaign. The dolphins prevented the Patriots from getting the first round bye in the AFC playoffs with an angry win in Week 17 last season, and Miami has been quite busy overhauling the roster through agents free and NFL Draft 2020 for the past two months. Maybe we see the beginning of the first career of young quarterback Jarrett Stidham and Old Tagovailoa in this game, which will be very interesting. The Patriots have won six of their last seven Week 1 matches at home, and the smart bet is that the trend will continue in 2020.

Week 2

Patriot at Seattle Seahawks
Date: Sunday, September 20
Time: 8:20 pm
Prediction score: Seahawks 35-31

This game must be one of the most difficult on the Patriot schedule. Seattle is a very difficult place to play. Quarterback Seahawks Russell Wilson is a top five player in his position and is a nightmare to fight defense with multiple threat abilities. And don’t forget that Seattle is well trained. The Patriots lost at CenturyLink Field with Tom Brady in 2012, and we prefer their chance of victory in 2020 without him.

Week 3

Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Date
: Sunday, September 27
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Patriot 28-17

The Raiders are one of 10 teams that didn’t score 20-plus points per match last season, and there is very little reason to believe midfielder Derek Carr will shine against one of the league’s best secondaries. The Las Vegas defense ranks 24th in the points possible and calculates the second lowest turnover.

4th week

Patriot in Kansas City Chief
Date: Sunday, October 4
Time: 4:25 a night
Prediction score: Head 38-24

The Chiefs has the best league quarterback at Patrick Mahomes, and he is the reason why Kansas City offenses produced an average of 31.2 points per match over the past two seasons. The Chiefs are the defending champions and should have no trouble winning the second match in a row against the Patriots. New England has a 1-3 record in four regular matches in its last season with Kansas City.

Week 5

Patriots vs Denver Broncos
Date: Sunday, October 11
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Patriot 28-24

Broncos will be better this season with Drew Lock at quarterback. He finished his rookie season 4-1 as a starter, and Denver strengthened the passing attack with the selection of Alabama Alabama star Jerry Jeudy in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. This will be a harder game for the Patriots than many realize, but we still like New England to win narrowly at home. Don’t forget Bill Belichick has a very successful history against young quarterbacks.

Week 7

Patriot vs. San Francisco 49ers
Date: Sunday, October 25
Time: 4:25 a night
Prediction score: 49ers 28-21

Can you imagine talks around New England if Jarrett Stidham defeated former Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers defending champion NFC? Unfortunately for the Patriots fans, the 49ers elite defense shouldn’t have too many problems making Stidham’s life miserable. The San Francisco defense made it possible to pass the fewest yards in the league last season, while also ranked seventh in opposing QB rank, sixth in sacks and seventh percentage in completion. 49ers are also one of 10 teams that allow less than 20 points per match.

Week 8

Patriot at the Buffalo Bills
Date: Sunday, November 1
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Bill 24-21

Tom Brady has Bills in his career with a record of 32-3, but now that he’s gone, Buffalo’s chances of winning AFC East have increased. The Bills almost defeated the Patriots in the New Era Field in 2019 before losing 16-10, and we want Buffalo to finish the work at home in 2020. Buffalo has an extraordinary defense and will have the support of a hungry raucous crowd to finally defeat the Patriot.

9th week

The Patriot at the New York Jets
Date: Monday, November 9
Time: 8:15 pm ET
Prediction score: Patriot 31-13

The Patriots dominated the Jets in New York on “Monday Night Football” last season in the most memorable match for Sam Darnold “seeing a ghost”. The Quarterback Jets couldn’t have played worse than he did that night, but it’s still hard to imagine him enjoying much success against one of the major league pass defenses.

10th week

Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens
Date: Sunday, November 15
Time: 8:20 pm
Prediction score: Ravens 34-28

This must be a fantastic “Sunday Night Football” battle on NBC. The Ravens gave the Patriots their first defeat last season with a 37-20 victory at Baltimore. The game was closer than the final score suggested, and if the Patriots didn’t make expensive substitutes in the third quarter, they might win that night. The Ravens will be liked in this fight and rightly so. They led the league in scoring goals last season thanks to MVP performance from quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the team’s defense is also one of the best in the league. The Patriots might not have enough offensive weapons to hang with the Ravens without forcing a few turnovers.

11th week

Patriot in Houston Texas
Date: Sunday, November 22
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Patriot 28-27

The Texans lost their best wide receiver at DeAndre Hopkins to the offseason and haven’t done much to replace it. That said, Houston remains a very good team and still has a top-tier quarterback at Deshaun Watson. The Patriots trailed 21-3 in last season’s meeting at NRG Stadium and almost made a late comeback in a 28-22 defeat. A better start should be enough for the Patriot to defeat the Texas troops on the road. New England has won six of the last seven matches against Houston.

12th week

Patriot vs. Arizona Cardinals
Date: Sunday, November 29
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Patriot 35-24

The Cardinals made a large trade in March to acquire a wide elite receiver of DeAndre Hopkins from Texas without providing significant value. His arrival should make the gifted offense stronger. Kyler Murray, who was chosen by Arizona No. 1 in the 2019 NFL Draft as its quarterback franchise, has a strong rookie campaign. But the Cardinals’ defense is very bad, and the Patriots must be able to dominate units ranked 28th in points allowed and 32nd in yards allowed last season.

Week 13

Patriot at Los Angeles Chargers
Date: Sunday, December 6
Time: 4:25 a night
Prediction score: Patriot 27-17

The Patriots will not lose to rookie quarterback at the end of the season. Justin Herbert projects to become a good NFL player, but would be brave enough to bet he scored a ton of points against the highly experienced and talented secondary from the Patriots.

Week 14

The Patriot at the Los Angeles Rams
Date: Thursday, December 10th
Time: 8:20 pm
Prediction score: Patriots 24-20

The Rams have struggled to win the Super Bowl over the past few years and have not completed their work, and they will lose to the Patriots again in the first meeting between these teams since the victory of New England 13-3 in the Super Bowl LIII. Quarterback Rams Jared Goff could not complete Bill Belichick’s defense at the Super Bowl, and it’s hard to bet he got it right now when the secondary Patriots from 2018 remain very intact.

Sunday 15

Patriot at the Miami Dolphins
Date
: Sunday, December 20
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Dolphins 31-28

The Patriot doesn’t have to go to Miami in September or October when it’s likely to be quite hot in South Florida. That said, Miami has become a pretty difficult place for New England to win, even when Brady is a quarterback. The Patriots have emerged victorious in only two of their last seven matches at the Hard Rock Stadium, and if Tagovailoa was a dolphin starter at this stage, Miami would be a tougher opponent.

Sunday 16

Patriot vs. Buffalo Bill
Date: Monday, December 28th
Time: 8:15 a night
Prediction score: Patriot 21-17

“Monday Night Football” primetime matches are at home in December and possibly with playoff implications are the types of games that usually win, especially against division opponents. The challenge must be tougher by 2020 without experienced quarterbacks, but Stidham will take many reps at this point.

17th week

Patriots vs. New York Jets
Date: Sunday, January 3
Time: 1 afternoon.
Prediction score: Patriot 28-14

The Patriots have won eight consecutive home games against the Jets, as well as 11 of their last 12 matches at the Gillette Stadium against New York. Until the Jets show they can win at Foxboro, it is very difficult to predict they will leave New England with a win.

W / L projection: 10-6
Points are created: 27.1 per game
Points allowed: 22.5 per game
