EU’s Tusk says spoke to PM Johnson, awaits Brexit delay request

BRUSSELS, Oct 19 (Reuters) – European Council President Donald Tusk mentioned on Saturday night he spoke to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and was now awaiting a letter with a request to delay Brexit once more.

“Ready for the letter,” Tusk mentioned on Twitter after Johnson misplaced an important vote on Brexit within the British parliament earlier within the day. “I simply talked to PM Boris Johnson concerning the state of affairs after the vote within the Home of Commons.” (Reporting by Gabriela Baczynska Enhancing by Alexandra Hudson)
