Senior Cornell College Leonard Stewart Jr. not let the pandemic stop him from installing the April 18 fashion show. Instead, he took his program online and made money to support it The World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
The video runway is displayed by the label SSTEW3 titled “A Trip To Tomorrow” and explore designs for the future.
“Environmental problems will become as clear in our daily lives as coronavirus. With fashion being one of the 10 biggest pollution industries in the world, SSTEW3 accepts the challenge of stopping pollution in fashion, “he said majoring in business management.
Stewart explained that SSTEW3 is a theoretical chemical compound (hence the use of the SS₃ logo) which breaks clothing into its original form of fabric to make new clothing using vegetable products that can be recycled or decomposed after its use is used up.
This program will be paid for per impression virtual ticket for $ 1, available the day and time of the show (Saturday night, April 18). Twenty percent of the profits will be donated to these funds.
Stewart is at home on St. Louis (where he did an internship with Susan Sherman, co-founder of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund) while studying distance with a professor and classmate at Cornell.
“The class is stable, and I can still study so I have no complaints,” he said.
