The Woodlake Women’s Club holds their annual fashion show at Filly and Colt’s, at Little River Golf and Country Club in Carthage on Thursday, March 12th.

In the absence of a president, Vice President Joy Nuzzie held a brief business meeting. This was followed by a warm audience and was welcomed by hospitality chairman Donna McClary. Beth Kiker is the lady of the ceremony.

Fashion in the “Envision a New You” fashion show was provided by J. McLaughlin’s, Southern Pines, and Lisa’s Boutique, from Carthage. Cynthia Fairley, from Vass, a stylist and personal clothing designer, arranged clothes from Brenda Smith’s personal clothes to be modeled. Fairley also helps the models from Lisa’s Boutique choose their clothing.

More than 30 door prizes were given to participants.

“The club wants to thank the local merchants who generously donated their prizes,” said a spokesman. “Membership also honors Deb Pennucci, manager J. McLaughlin, Lisa Padilla, from Lisa’s Boutique, and Cynthia Fairley from Creative Wardrobe Ensembles for their generosity and assistance.”

The models are Judy Kerr, Joyclyn Huffine, Margie Spory and Amy Gardner, who wear clothing from Lisa’s Boutique; Brenda Smith, whose fashion was arranged by Cynthia Fairley; and Missy Meyer, Sharon Straka, Thuy Dragon and Diane Broderson, who wore clothing from J. McLaughlin. Co-chairs of the event are Mary Lancaster and Kelly Lucerno.

After the show, the members and their guests enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Filly and Colt.

  1. Hey – I’m working with a company that is looking for sites that have content relating to clothing and I came across yours.

Any chance you’d be open to hearing about a way you could link to a merchant and make money in the case someone clicks on the link and purchases something?

Just wanted to see if it’s something you’d be interested in hearing about! If not, I hope you have a great day!
