Harlem’s Fashion Row Launches New Nonprofit (ICON 360) to Assist Designers in Quick Response to Coronavirus Pandemic; Celebrity Stylists, Editors and Influencers Unite to Benefit Color Designers During Global Virtual Fashion Events | Instant News


NEW YORK, May 21, 2020 / PRNewswire / – Active May 30, 2020 in 2:00 PM, Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR) will launch a new non-profit, ICON 360, in response to the current Coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping the world.

In an effort to raise funds for color designers, influential arts and entertainment organizations will host ‘Virtual Fundraisers’ with special fashion industry guests, to celebrate and support designers who apply for ICON 360 grants.

The non-profit program will provide forgivable assistance for color designers who spin their business during this pandemic and need funds to scale.

The current economic climate has created uncertainty for designers. With a halt to production and a dramatic decline in sales, Harlem’s Fashion Row decided to take action and help color designers through an unprecedented period.

This mission is to dedicate 100% of ticket sales to the new non-profit, ICON 360, providing safety nets for current and future designers.

The “Virtual Fundraising” event will be HFR’s first philanthropic effort. That day will be filled with panel discussions such as:

International Impact in Fashion with guest panelists McPhearson’s guest and Karen Blanchard.

Youth Editor in Chief of VOGUE, Lindsey Peoples Wagner will discuss Gen Z and Millennial Response to the COVID Crisis 19.

Christopher John Rogers Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund winners will talk to celebrity stylists, Wayman + Michah.

Play to Win with Liliahn Majeed, NBA Senior Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion

Kesha McLeod, a celebrity stylist for top athletes like Serena Williams will talk to Rich fresh bespoke pieces are often seen on celebrities like Lena Waithe.

Finally, words of wisdom will be given by renowned designers, Tracy Reese.

Guests will also have the opportunity to see fashion shows with past HFR designers and new designers to come, and engage in interesting presentations. Guests can buy tickets to the anticipated virtual event through the newly launched website www.hfricon360.com.
