How about a fashion contest for COVID facial supplies – Maple Ridge News | Instant News

LETTER: What about the fashion contest for COVID face gear

Not trying to calm a pandemic, but what about community competition, without age restrictions

Dear editor,

With words like “social distance” and “new normal” quickly becoming part of our daily vocabulary, is it any wonder that our children are afraid, even paranoid about their lives?

Not until sometime in the future is this effect truly known.

To not diminish the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic, I predict that facial masks and face protectors will become fashionable, and that at least in the minds of the younger generation there will be sanity in this twisted world.

What if we hold a contest to design face masks or face shields that can be used and are fashionable? Fashion community engagement fashion contest. There are no age restrictions.

It must be a do-it-yourself creation.

For those who will search the internet, it does not need an original design.

Unlimited style; it can even be a simple bandana.

Only a suggestion.
