ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Cars lined up in several blocks to take part in Friday’s Urban League food distribution event.
The Urban League plans to feed 1,500 families.
The program starts at 12 p.m. until 3 pm April 10 at the North Side Community Empowerment Center at 1330 Aubert Ave, having food and toiletries based on who he can quickly.
In the midst of a pandemic, demand for food has increased in the St. Louis. Last week, people were queuing for Urban League food distribution show hours in advance.

Officials with the Regional Food Bank Louis said they had seen a 30 percent increase in food demand. In an ordinary month, they distribute around 3.3 million meals. In the past two weeks, they have distributed 2.5 million.
