Mobile Food Pantry is set for Thursday The Coastland Times | Instant News

The Albemarle Food Bank, in partnership with the Colington United Methodist Church, will visit the parking lot of the First Flight School with the Traveling Food Pantry on Thursday, April 9 from 4: 30-6 p.m. Some procedural changes have been noted.

People are asked not to get out of their vehicles when they drive to check-in. A volunteer will approach and retrieve the information needed. The volunteer will then load the food ingredients to each vehicle. Leave enough space in the vehicle for volunteers to load groceries.

Food will be distributed to local residents who are struggling to make ends meet and need emergency food assistance. These may be senior citizens living on fixed income, disabled people, individuals or families who currently receive food stamps and working families who make the difficult choice between buying food and paying for other needs.

Food from the Mobile Food Pantry is free, but a Dare County residency is required.
