Help and donations are needed
Pantri food in the Forest Lake area remains open to serving those in need in this area. But concerns about the COVID-19 virus have changed the way they operate in an effort to keep everyone safe.
The following is a list of local food pantry, including contact information and methods for securing food ingredients.

Details: While thrift stores are closed, food shelves remain open but only available by agreement. Roadside pickup is available from 10 am to 6 pm. Community Helping Hand has increased its hours to stay open Monday through Friday rather than the Tuesday and Thursday schedule offered before COVID-19. It also continues to offer financial assistance programs with appointments.
Important to note: Community Helping Hand now has the number ‘text now’ (651) 505-1493 which is managed between 8 am to 8 pm. to set an appointment.
Requirement area: Community Helping Hand still accepts food donations and money to buy food, but does not accept clothing or household appliances.
Forest Lake Food Shelf Family Path
Location: 935 Lake Street South, Forest Lake

Details: All Family Pathways food shelves now offer pre-packed grocery services with food delivered on the curb. The hours for the Forest Lake office are 9 am to 3 pm. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9 am to noon Friday.
Requirement area: Family Pathways takes donations from food and financial support.
Linwood Testament Church

Details: The Linwood Covenant Church offers food for families in need through covenants. Promises can be made between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday and between 5-7 nights on Tuesday and Thursday.
Important to note: The church has a request for assistance for people with pre-existing conditions or those over the age of 70 who require running assignments or prescriptions filled. The church also offers child care for health care workers.
Requirement area: The church is looking for volunteers to help carry out tasks, provide childcare, or write “encouragement cards” to those in need. Potential volunteers can register online at linwoodcovidhelp.org/i-can-help.
Lutheran Elim Church
Location: 20971 Olinda Trail N., Scandia

Details: The Elim Lutheran Church offers food to those in need in the Skandia and Sea regions of St. Petersburg. Croix. Food racks are available only by agreement; to make an appointment, contact the main church number between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Requirement area: The church receives food donations and financial support.
Rangers Supporting Rangers
Location: Available at Wyoming Elementary, Lino Lakes Elementary, Forest View Elementary and Forest Lake High School

Details: Grab-and-Go breakfast and lunch will be available to be picked up at Wyoming Elementary, Lino Lakes Elementary, Forest View Elementary, and High School between 10 am and noon. Food for students registered under the age of 18 years.
Important to note: Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13 is not a school day. Food will still be provided for these days, but must be taken on Thursday, April 9.

Forest Lake Area Schools, North Lakes Academy and Lakes International Academy continue to provide food for students during the school week.
