The reaction of the fans was extraordinary and we knew we wanted to provide more of what the audience wanted and needed. ”
Almost every day during the COVID-19 crisis, Symon has treated fans to cooking classes directly from his home on the Food Network Kitchen Facebook page while in quarantine. The episode takes place at 17:00 every night when Symon shares recipes and family stories using kitchen-friendly ingredients, step-by-step cooking instructions, and convincing missions and messages ‘One day at a time, one dish at a time.’
Symon himself claimed to be surprised by the amount of interest in his self-shot performances.
“When I first discussed doing something to help, leaning in to share some kitchen ideas with fans at home and take shelter in place, I had no way of knowing how much I would enjoy and depend on interaction,” Symon said. “The community and kindness shown to me, the thousands of messages, photos and videos that are displayed at home every night, I am very happy to be able to make a show based on something special like Symon Dinner. ”
The episode has been taken with the help of his wife Liz, social media manager Liv, and frequent appearances by Norman puppies, Symon Dinner is a hit with more than 30 million views to date. Now, just in time for summer, Symon’s Dinners Cooking Out will continue the mission, and feature Food Network stars who feature some of his favorite outdoor foods and cooking techniques, while inviting viewers to cook together when he shows how simple and fun it is to make extraordinary dishes at home in the backyard.
During the six episodes of self-shots from home, Symon will explore various dishes that are perfect for cooking outdoors when summer weather starts across the country. From traditionally baked foods such as sticky ribs, steaks and BBQ chicken, to unconventional appetizers such as parmesan meatballs, chicken and cakes, and even banana lifts and crunchy apples, Symon’s passion for cooking is also exhibited as he wishes to help those who present at home serving delicious homemade dishes for themselves and their families.
